The Eli Seals Band opens for Darius Rucker on the Gulf Coast

(June 21, 2014) What a day! With a heat index over 105° and a crowd estimated at 15,000, the first day of summer was smokin' hot in Biloxi, Mississippi. The Eli Seals Band cranked up a 40 minute set starting at 4:00pm on the new Great Lawn at Harrah's Gulf Coast, followed by One Thousand Horses. Grammy award winning pop turned country artist Darius Rucker rounded out a great day of music, ending in a blazing fireworks show over the water.

Friday Songwriter's Showcase at Birdie's

(September 20, 2013) With a true love for original music, Birdie's has opened up another opportunity for singer/songwriters in the area on Friday nights.

 

This Friday, September 20th, David Craig will bring 3 hours worth of original work along with a new band configuration. Long-time friend Ken Wilson brings congas and cajon together for perfect percussion, while Baton Rouge's own Eric DiSanto will dazzle with slide guitar and a treat for the crowd with some original blues of his own. The Eli Seals Band: Bogalusa Blues Festival Bound

The 2nd Annual Bogalusa Blues Festival will feature Waterline Records very own Eli Seals on a new 'local heritage' stage. The Saturday, September 28th event promises to be a great venue to showcase the band's new CD "Slow Dancin' at the Rodeo". They are slated to begin at 4:00pm.

Craig Connects with Baton Rouge Songwriters

Two new venues have opened up in Baton Rouge which showcase an abundance of local songwriting talent. Tuesday nights at Lava Cantina in Perkins Rowe are hosted by longtime local songwriting denizen Lynn Anslemo. Wednesday and Thursday nights at Rocco's on Government Street bring in a different crowd corralled by Rob Chidester. 

They are welcome places to try out new material and David received a warm reception at Lava Cantina when he performed on the 10th.

It's Official

(June 21, 2013) Water Line Records became an official company this week. Recognized by the State of Louisiana , Water Line Records LLP is open for business.

 

First on the agenda is getting The Eli Seals Band's Slow Dancin' at the Rodeo into the digital relm. The should realize the completion of that goal by the first part of July. Submissions have been made and now their fate lies in digital music providers like iTunes, Rhapsody, Spotify, etc. to move the "paperwork" through their systems.

The Eli Seals Band: New CD Release

Water Line Records own Eli Seals packed the house on Friday, May 24th for the release of his new Eli Seals Band CD "Slow Dancin' at the Rodeo".

The crowd of friends, family and area music lovers were treated to 4 hours of the band's standards which included a perfect cover of their new CD. Co-Producer and writing partner David Craig presented Seals with a framed commemorative plaque to mark the special occasion.

Chocolate cake and a gift basket raffle completed the memorable evening.

It was a natural progression. A friendship, a writing partnership, a record ... and a record company. Water Line Records. Their first task? Co-producing The Eli Seals Band's "Slow Dancin' at the Rodeo", a 10 cut country-rock masterpiece that has already become a favorite in music players throughout the area.

The company is moving through the digital landscape with its new website and will soon make its presence known with releases on iTunes, Amazon.com, CD Baby, Spotify and ReverbNation.
